COMP 2499 - Visual Basic Level 2
Intermediate Programming: Continues from Visual Basic Level 1. This course builds
on the code writing skills developed in COMP 1499. The emphasis is on realistic
applications. Students will learn how to create applications using complex GUI
and object oriented programming. Topics include: GUI advanced controls (Tab and
Grid), collections and user defined types, working with sequential and random
access files, error handling and logging, OLE, understanding the OOP concepts,
creating COM components, presenting different types of system architecture,
working with classes, objects, interfaces, creating and raising custom events,
introduction to Windows API. Prerequisites: COMP 1499 (3 Credits)
